Victoria / Sth. Australia NPCC Joint Meet
Mt. Gambier - March 2004
Hello Shedders!!
Thought it would be easier to make a web page to post some of my piccies and share with you the fantastic weekend we had in Mt. Gambier Sth. Australia.
Below are the photos i took with my crappy camera i keep in my car (i left the good one at home) so some of the pics aren't the best...sorry!
Ok...first pic is nothing special, it's taken from the drivers seat of the go-cart on my journey to the meet. Thought some of our international shedders that haven't seen the real Australia might like to know what "the middle of nowhere" looks like. It's a bloody big country! This was taken somewhere just before the border of Vic and S.A about an hour before Mt. Gambier.

Below is the sign at the border which I found knocked to the ground. Big Gary was a few k's in front of me and judging by the grin on his face when i finally caught up with him, i worked out who the culprit was!!
Below is the scout hall in which the meet is held every year. I thought i would slightly modify the sign at the entrance to suit the occasion.....
The following pics are some from the meet itself with auctions and members tables getting a workout.......

and some of the displays.........

and some of the attendees.......

From left: Dale (SA co-ordinator), Dougie and platesheds 'Makkita' And this is plateshed's 'Pedro'....always a numbers man!

Above? No explanation needed.

Well above thats me, 'him' again and plateshed's and NPCC's 'vicco-ord' and it's a pleasure to introduce to you all.....'Centurion'

Kojak, Mozzimo, J. Barnes (aka 'Grandpa') and yep...him again! My golf partner and good buddy and also fellow shedder 'J. Campbell'
and when i took a break from the meet with Pablo we did some sight seeing.....

Mt Gambier's 'Blue lake'. A volcano filled by an underground water source, and it's actually a lot more blue in colour than the pic shows. Worth a visit!...and some mountains somewhere near there where the place probably gets it's name from i suppose?
and i rounded up all the plateshed members that were in attendance for a family shot.....

What a happy bunch....from left front row: Trevor from Mildura (he makes an appearance on the shed thru Makkita), 'Big Gary' again, me again, 'Pedro', 'Kojak' and 'Vicco-ord'. Back Row: from left, 'J. Campbell', 'Makkita', '12', 'D.Hughes', 'Ron1960', 'Centurion', 'Beaker' (Adam from S.A), 'Leigh898' and 'Tweety' (Grandpa' not in shot as he got an early start back to S.A)
and some plates..... (will leave the rest of the pics for the forum)....
and thats all folks! the welcome home sign below....
