Hey 666...just mucking around on my computer looking for a certain photo and I found this one of some plates I used to have up in my shed back in Donnybrook...check out the WA personal AMI.666...Am I 666...
Sorry to be a tease, this one stays in my collection along with my other few 666 plates at the moment but thought you might like to see it.
Cheers
Jeffrey

Well said Moz...that GAY 111 plate has always tickled my fancy...definately not one of the 9 sets of plates I have registered in my name though.
Reminds me.,..as some of you know WA has a set of plates issued by the Gay Pride group. Nice enough plates...one day the husband of a friend of mine saw one and was merrily telling his wife he would like set of those on his car. She worked with me and knew what they were so she quickly set her husband straight. ..
Cheers

Jeffrey, haven't you had a Vic JC plate from me? I don't think JC plates should be blocked due to religious sensitivity and they aren't here in Vic. We don't have a plate for lesbians and homsexuals, yet. I am a Christian so just to explain to Taz666 why some people get sensitive about 666 "The mark of the beast" read Revelation (the last book of the Bible) chapter 13, verses 11-18.
It's no big deal - just like Chinese people liking plates with 8's in them for good luck. However when you stand in a queue at the checkout and everyone in front of you is NOT using cash, think how close we are to getting the number on our foreheads!

Have many of those pride group plates been sighted on the roads??
Curious because I'd think they would be a rather rare plate to see.....I am sure very few people like to go that far with advertising! Might attract abuse and road rage.....rather than someone else of the same orientation following you home.
Anyway, I'd be gay....i mean happy, about one of these getting into my bed....OOP'S i ment collection
David, wonder if we can personalise those numbers on our head? what would be our personal fee's on those ?
I am not at all religious.....sorry, but i have to ask why they have banned JC on a plate?
Think it's bed time ...... I go funny when tired.

Hi David and Matt
The Gay pride plates - personally I have only seen a few on the road....maybe 4-5. They arent terribly common...especially down here in the country. Probably see a few more around the streets of Northbridge in Perth. Given that you really have to know your plates to know what the plate means they arent too likely to stir up much trouble on your car....if you saw one how would know what it meant in normal circumstances??
JC plates - the use of JC isnt banned on WA plates generally, I do have personals with the letters JC and numbers, and there are custom plates like JC 1 on the road. But I just wanted the plate "JC", no numbers, no nothing. It is loaded onto the computer system as a banned plate due to "religious reasons" - actually says that on the screen. The reason..well JC..Jesus Christ...get it? My arguement is that for a generation of west aussies JC can be closer linked to basketball and one of our wildcats for many years James Crawford...but then I guess I am a heathen as well.
Cheers

David & All,
Explanation not needed, I can understand that some people may be sensitive about the 666, I have a few friends around the world that have chatted me about it before. Unfortunately, that's like holding a red rag to a bull, I don't take kindly to people telling what I should and shouldn't do. It all started years ago with the Tasmanian Devil & has been shortened to Taz666 from the time I became computer literate. I, like Matty_769, am not religious, there is nothing on my right hand or forehead that shouldn't be there. I'm not sure I understand your analogy about the "NO CASH" though.
Anyway, nothing has been said before here, so I wasn't aware of any problems. David, please don't take this personally, it wasn't meant to be. If I offended anyone in any way it wasn't intended.
I believe this is a hobby, Politics and Religion shouldn't come into it. Please tell me if I'm wrong.

Greetings Taz666
No offence at all. Go for it. Collect anything you fancy. While people were mixing homosexuals and lesbians with number plates, I thought it reasonable to mix a Christian point with number plates. The NO CASH point is (if you believe it) that in the end times you won't be able to buy and sell anything if you don't have the "mark of the beast".
Our friendly Administrator Moz says we can talk about anything we like in the Plateshed.
We see plenty of 666 plates in the Melbourne sort so people could buy them for you if you let them know.
Regards

Hey Don, they're gettin' pretty old those two blokes - they may not fit any more.
Reminded me of the late Queen Mother, who was inclined to employ those of that persuasion and when badly in need of her usual sustenance was said to call to the servants quarters - "would one of you old queens please bring this old Queen a large G&T."
I always thought Gerald and Patrick may have been involved.
