I found this picture in an old Nat Geo. magazine in my eye man's waiting room. It shows the removal of a USA highway sign for the 6th spur road off Route 66 in the Four Corners area of New Mexico. The number was replaced to placate some folk who didn't like 666 signs in their vicinity.
The magazine copy included as a closing remark --"old 666 never was a highway to hell, it went to Utah"

Sorry about the poor quality of the picture - it was done inside the waiting room on the phone.
PS - not long now Taz, to those cooling beverages. JCC

Another one I have been meaning to mention.
Leaving off the leading zeroes and writing the date the Australian way, back on the 4th of May we had the date as
4.5.6
There was an item on the news where they went overboard in England and included the time of day and had
1:23 on 4.5.6
This leads me to the 6th of June , just before the National, when the date will be
6.6.6
