I don't think Taz will get to see it Darren. He's overseas at the moment and i'm not sure when he's getting back

I've got something here he might be interested in too. I'll just hold onto it for now...

I already put the top one in his other thread. Isn't it a shockin' pic. Some ebay sellers really suck! :saythat:

Was standing out the front of my shop today talking to a customer, when a 4WD whizzed by. It had Garden State plates with 666.666 on them.

Thought it may be worthy of mention.

It would be a lot MORE worthy of mention if you had it in your hot little hand instead of it still being on the back of a bucket-a-bolts. IMHO. :poke:

Yes, perhaps it would. Also nice if I'd have had my camera in hand. Now, if I'd had it in my hot little hand it, how much would you have offered me? $666? :laughter:

One seen on today's walkabout.

This is not meant to be an "arty-farty" picture, it was just hard to see.

 :laughter:

PS. It's a Vic.

I found this picture in an old Nat Geo. magazine in my eye man's waiting room. It shows the removal of a USA highway sign for the 6th spur road off Route 66 in the Four Corners area of New Mexico. The number was replaced to placate some folk who didn't like 666 signs in their vicinity.

The magazine copy included as a closing remark --"old 666 never was a highway to hell, it went to Utah"

Sorry about the poor quality of the picture - it was done inside the waiting room on the phone.

PS - not long now Taz, to those cooling beverages. JCC

Another one I have been meaning to mention.
Leaving off the leading zeroes and writing the date the Australian way, back on the 4th of May we had the date as
4.5.6
There was an item on the news where they went overboard in England and included the time of day and had

1:23 on 4.5.6

This leads me to the 6th of June , just before the National, when the date will be

6.6.6   :?:

Fortunately Utah is a wonderful place to visit :jumpin:

I note there is a movie being released on 6.6.6 about 666. I think they'll be lucky to get 666 people interested enough to see it . . . .

I believe the route marker signs on the highway were popular to steal, which would have been a practical incentive to renumber it. What sort of person with a juvenile sense of humor wouldn't want to have a big "666" sign hanging on their bedroom wall?
